Among all of the complex, evolving and harrowing topics discussed, I think this issue interests me most; likely because I don’t know the right answer about how it’s addressed.

In many of the discussions that detailed the points Nicholas Negroponte made, what resonated with me — in the worst way — was how the autonomy of the Lab was tied to how they acquired funds, and from whom. It was disappointing and unsurprising that he stated how the entire system of higher education — through its past and present — was built off the backs of the unscrupulous.

How is this problem fixed? How do you control the resourcers? Is an ethics screen enough?

I look forward to some of the foremost thinkers on this topic to determine ethical, equitable, and system-shifting ways forward.
